In case you missed the news,
they will begin taking applications & hiring on
October 16th at the Quinlan Community Center.
It says they will be hiring about 350 people.
Grand opening of the store is now Jan 19.
There is to be a Subway (sandwich) inside
the store.

I drive by that Walmart several times a week - it looks complete. I just don't understand why Walmart would choose to lose those precious holiday dollars by opening after Christmas.

I am new to this forum, and live no where near Texas. I am from NY.   Walmart has knocked out every little shop along the way.  The Wal-mart greeters try but are not the same as saying hi to the owner of a store and the store owner helping you out.

The little guys, have to take such a loss, because they can't afford to lower their prices, because they are not buying in bulk.   This is just one of the reasons I got to get out of here.  The personality has gone to the big business and we all know,  they have no personality.

I would hate to have you say "remember when we could go down the road and buy from ????, that was the good old days."

Wal-mart will come, with or without a welcome sign, but if you can see you way, buy from the local stores, They need you more than Wal-mart.
