Going to Lake tawakoni this weekend for the first time to catfish. Anyone know the best place to catch some shad?

Thanks.

They should be shallow now.  I launch at the 751 bridge, and I usually catch shad there or near the bridge pilings.  Any 4-5' of water with cover close by should hold shad.

Yep. DaSquirrel is spot on. either of the two bridges on 751 are great shad areas. If anyone is looking for larger shad for cut bait to use on trotlines/jug lines, etc. they should try the small cove at March`s RV park.
