"Lend Me A Tenor"

The Talent Box Productions, a non-profit community theatre, 244 North Fourth, Wills Point, will present "Lend Me A Tenor", written by Ken Ludwig at the theatre, March 05, 06, 07, 12, 13 and 14, 2010.

The action takes place in a hotel suite in Cleveland, Ohio in 1934. It is early afternoon in September and Max, Maggie and Saunders are waiting for the arrival of the very late Tito, the world famous tenor, known to his fans as II Stupendo. What happens after he and his wife arrive is a very funny comedy of errors. Many doors get slammed, emotions run high, and a surprise ending!

The play is directed by Jane Gamon of Myrtle Springs. She is assisted by Diane Hamilton of Wills Point. The cast selected to entertain you: Pat Cooper of Terrell as Tito Merelli; Linda Cooper of Terrell as his wife, Maria Merelli; Mark Greer of Canton as Saunders the head of the Cleveland Ohio Opera; James Phillips of Edgewood as Max, Saunders' assistant; Kelly Hall of Wills Point as Maggie, Max's girlfriend and daughter of Saunders; Jeremy Pollard of Wills Point as Frank, the bellhop who is a want-to-be opera singer; Bonnie Reichel of Terrell as Diana, the soprano and Helen Booth of Wills Point as Julia, Chairman of the Opera Guild.

The play will begin at 7:30 PM on March 05 and 06, 2010. A reception will follow the performance opening night. The Sunday matinee, March 07, will begin at 2:00 PM. Admission, Adults, $10.00, Seniors/Students, $8.00 and Children 12 and under, $5.00.

Dinner Theatre productions will be Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, at 6:30 PM and Sunday, March 14, at 1:00 PM. Admission, $17.00 per person.

Reservations are recommended for regular performances and are required for Dinner Theatre. Some regular performance priced seats are available on Dinner Theatre performance dates.
