Lake Tawakoni State Park's 10 Year Anniversary


Come out to the park for our 10 Year Anniversary. Event is from 9am-6pm. We will be having a variety of activities for people of all ages. Some activities include geocaching, dutchoven demonstrations, fishing, identifying artifacts and much more. At dark we will be premiering our first movie in the park. Talent Box Productions presents: Perfect Crime


Talent Box Productions presents: Perfect Crime, Directed by Jane Gamon, March 2nd - 4th and 9th - 10th.

Tells the story of Margaret Thorne Brent, an accomplished Connecticut psychiatrist and potential cold-blooded killer who may have committed "the perfect crime." When her wealthy husband, W. Harrison Brent, turns up dead, she gets caught in the middle of a terrifying game of cat and mouse with her deranged patient, Lionel McAuley, and Inspector Ascher, the handsome but duplicitous investigator assigned to the case.
NOTE: This production deals with adult situations and is rated PG-13.

LTRCC 2nd Annual Business Expo


The 2nd Annual Business Expo will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 10am - 3pm at Ford High School. The Expo is free and open to the public. Over 40 exhibitors are expected to attend. Each business will offer discounts, give aways, and/or door prizes.

Also expected is a bounce house, classic cars and mobile pet adoption.

"Home School" Theater Class


"Home School" Theater Class - This 10 week session will be held on Wednesday mornings beginning March 7, and run through May 9. Each class held 10am - 12 noon. There will be a production at the end of the session on May 11.

Students will learn in depth information pertaining to theater, including stage direction, voice projection, theatre etiquette, focus, costuming, stage makeup, expression, auditioning, character development, behind the scenes info and other theatrical skills.

Cost: $10/session, $90 if paid in full by March 4, 2012.

Want to go fishing or take your kids fishing, but don't know where to start? Special learn-to-fish classes are being held at Lake Tawakoni State Park. We'll see you and yours catch a fish and make some memories! Families can learn the basics of fishing through fun, hands-on activities. Take away a fishing fun pack and enter the drawing for door prizes.

No fishing licenses necessary in Texas State Parks. Equipment and bait provided or bring your own. Adults must accompany children. Bring sun protection and water. Registration and start time is 9am.

Talent Box Productions presents: Oklahoma!, Directed by Nancy Dansby, June 8th - 10th and 15th - 17th.

Musical! Set in Oklahoma Territory outside the town of Claremore in 1906, it tells the story of cowboy Curly McLain and his romance with farm girl Laurey Williams. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie, a friend of Laurey's.
