Annual "RUN FOR THE RED" The annual "RUN FOR THE RED" Motorcycle Rally Classic Car and Truck Show
will be held this year on Saturday September 11th at the Hunt County
fair grounds at 8:00am. Registration begins at 8am with the last bike
out between 11:30 am and 12 noon and awards at 5pm. This road rally will
be a tour of the Hunt County Fire Departments. The entry Cost is 25.00
per bike, all monies supporting the HCFFA! There will be LIVE MUSIC
provided by various artists - Featuring Outtahand and Government Work,
Bounce houses, Face painting and Firefighter Challenges between your
Hunt County volunteer firefighters."RUN FOR THE RED" is your opportunity to support our local Hunt County Fire Fighter's Association. Currently our fire departments rely on minimal funding from the County plus donations and other attempts the department's uses to raise money. Many departments are operating with antiquated equipment and are barely able to cover the monthly cost of fuel and truck maintenance. But rather than talk about it, there is something we can all do to help! "RUN FOR THE RED" means open fire houses across the county, music, vendors, food provided by the Hunt County 4-H Annual Chili Cook-Off, Hunt County Motorcycle rally, and Classic Car and Truck show! Annual Hunt County 4-H Chili Cookoff Hunt County 4-H Annual Chili Cookoff will be held at Hunt County Fair
Grounds 9800 Jack Finney Blvd Saturday September 11th. This Cookoff benefits 4-H Campers and
helps the kids with expenses for competitions. Join us for the fun,
music and raffle, rain or shine, covered arenas. CASI chili turn-in 2pm,
entry fee $20. Novice entry fee $20 and Youth entry fee $5, turn-in
1pm, cooked on site. Jackpot beans 50% payback and prizes, turn in Noon,
entry fee $10 adults and $5 for youth. RV parking is available. For

Wills Point COC Luncheon Wills Point Chamber of Commerce will hold it's Annual Chamber Luncheon

Texas Poorman's Tournament The Texas Poorman's tournament will be held on September 25, 2010 at
Dove Cove Public Ramp Located on FM 751, southeast of Quinlan on the

TSVFD: Fire Prevention Week The Tawakoni South Volunteer Fire Department: Fire Prevention Week is
October 3 - 9 2010. The theme this year is "Smoke Alarms: A sound you
can live with!" Tawakoni South VFD will have safety week on Oct. 9th and
will need help to make it happen. We need donations towards this event

LTRCC 19th Annual Columbas Day Golf Classic The Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce 19th Annual Columbus Day Golf Classic is Monday, October 11th, 2010. The tournament will be held at the Tawakoni Golf Club at 2104 E. Hwy 276, in West Tawakoni. It's a 2 man scramble with check-in at 10am and a shotgun start at 11am. Early entry fee is $65 and $75 the day of the tournament. This includes: Golf, cart, meal and gift bag.If you are a golfer and want to play in this years tournament or would like to sponsor this years tournament then go to the LTRCC website. It's quick and easy. Businesses are needed to supply items to raffle and goodies for our goody bags. We need enough goodies for 250 bags and at least 50 items to raffle. QVFD: 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off & FestivalThe Quinlan Fire Department is having their 1st ANNUAL "CHILI COOK-OFF
AND FESTIVAL" October 16, 2010 from 10am until 5pm. It will be held on
Epperson St. from Main St. to First St. There will be live
entertainment, multiple vendors, and the chili cookoff will be
sanctioned by CASI. This event is to raise funds for fire department
station and equipment maintenance and upgrades. Vendor spaces will be
